New management structure at Wilkhahn: Dr. Jochen Hahne now sole president with international management team

[09-15-2009] Bad Münder, Germany. German furniture manufacturer Wilkhahn will pursue a number of key objectives over the next few years. The company plans new product developments and launches and wants to tap into and expand new and existing markets. It will also focus on looking after and gaining customers who are global players. The company has set the course for the future and restructured the management team. To speed up decision-making processes and reduce the level of complexity, the company will no longer be spearheaded by two people. As of immediate effect, managing partner Dr. Jochen Hahne will represent the company as the sole president.

As joint president with Dr. Jochen Hahne, Holger Jahnke assumed overall responsibility for corporate development. Under his leadership, Wilkhahn consistently gained a more international approach and developed as a brand. After seven years' successful work, all parties have agreed he will leave the company to seek new challenges.

Middle management team strengthened
Peter Röhrig was previously managing director of the Wilkhahn subsidiaries in Australia and the US. He will now move from Singapore to head office in Bad Münder to take charge of worldwide markets. Dr. Manfred Möser has been Chief Operating Officer at Wilkhahn since the middle of the year. He also brings in-depth experience from other companies and industries. Dr. Dorothea Giesecke-Kuppe is head of commercial management and Rosine Hölsch head of technology and technical managing director of the Wilkhahn subsidiary in Spain. Both women have been carrying out their management roles very effectively at Wilkhahn for some time.

“During an intensive strategy development process, we explored the potentials for Wilkhahn and defined the roadmap required to achieve our international goals. And the new management structure will ensure we reach our destination”, explains Wilkhahn president, Dr. Jochen Hahne. At the same time he is quick to thank his previous joint president for seven years’ successful work: “The company has a lot to thank Holger Jahnke for. Over the past few years, he has made a dedicated and highly professional contribution to Wilkhahn's development. We would like to wish him all the best for his career”.
